Course Descriptions for ORCKA Canoeing Certification Courses

2 Day Basic Canoeing Course - Levels 3 and 4

This two day course is designed for the canoeist with some experience who would like to learn how to paddle their canoe with greater confidence. Canoeists will build on the skills covered in Levels 1 and 2, and will learn to perform the manoeuvres with greater skill and precision. For those who are interested in working in the canoeing business, this course is the first step to becoming a certified instructor or guide.

The first morning of this course is devoted to tandem canoeing, and the remainder of the 2 days will focus on solo canoeing skills. Emphasis throughout the course is on safe canoeing practices while mastering the fundamentals. We have lots of fun, too!
